This is a piece that I made after the death of Robert Rauchenberg who was a leader in found object/collage sculpture from the 1960's on. The symbols on the piece show the " Yellow Rose of Texas", "Stars and Stripes", the oil spout for a tail and the brass wings. The new owner also happens to to be from Texas which helped sell the piece.
